What is a Kaffarah?

Kaffarah is a charitable compensation made by Muslims for intentionally breaking any fasts during the holy month of Ramadan, without a valid reason.

Intentionally breaking the fast, a person must fast continuously for 60 days. However, if they are unable to do that, then they must feed 60 poor people at a rate of $4.5 per person. As a result, this amounts to $270 for each missed/intentionally broken fast.

Fulfil your religious obligations by Donating your Kaffarah to this Appeal and help deprived Syrian refugees who will unfortunately go hungry well beyond Iftar time. By giving to this Fund, you are ensuring that those most in need will enjoy a meal after a hard day of fasting.

Kaffarah

Kaffarah is a charitable compensation made by Muslims for intentionally breaking any fasts during the holy month of Ramadan, without a valid reason.

Through our humanitarian programs in Syria and the Middle East, the cost of feeding one person is $4.50. Therefore, feeding 60 people amounts to $270 for each missed or intentionally broken fast.

Your Kaffarah helps provide warm meals to vulnerable families who struggle to find food each day, turning your obligation into relief for those in need.
