These are Syrian refugee teachers and scholars that we support. They help educate the orphans and other displaced refugees. They are displaced like the students they teach.
Many of our refugee orphan students, in Jordan and Turkey, want to become school teachers when they grow up. Our teachers are role models who educate, inspire hope and nurture each child’s skills.
It costs $300 a month to support a teacher properly.

Why this is important
Why do our teachers choose to teach given their own struggles with poverty and displacement? They are determined not to let a generation of children go without education.
We all hope for a peaceful Syria. In the interim, refugee children must have access to education so they grow up self-sufficient and contributing positively to their own well being and that of their families, other refugees and their host communities.
